Love to be back home ,

A short vacation visit ,

My Home sweet home ,

Great feeling of belonging ,

My  Heart is happy and singing ,

Pretty roses  i see smiling  with joy 

Morning glory looks  colorful and shy 

There is  Nostalgia around ,

Peace and Solace I have found ,

The tress  silent whispering 

A sign of  welcoming

me to my own home 

My Home sweet home .

Each corner tells a story ,

Reviving old memories ,

Some happy some sad ,

Some make  me laugh like mad .

Sitting in the garden with a hot cup of tea ,

Breathing in the natural beauty around me ,

I see the milk man  slowly treading along ,

I spot the newspaper boy whistling a song .

The morning birds are chirping with Gods grace.

Suddenly  I feel the raindrops on my face,

The clouds above are giving each other a chase,

The wind has also joined them in the race,

Loneliness is lovely ,

but then I am not lonely 

I see my soul mates shadow all around ,

I hear an echo of  his gentle endearing sound .

Thank you Dear God ,

For all that I have got ,

Your gifts of umpteen blessings ,

Are all that I ever want .

MY ODE TO GODDESS DURGA

O  Ma  Durga ,you  are the one who bestows on us all happiness,

 O Ma Bhawani you are the one who is with us in our miseries and illness

The radiance of your  bright divine light is  all pervading and limitless 

Illuminating  our  life's  paths  to freedom ,peace and cheerfulness.

O Ma Durga your view is as enchanting as the moon,

Your  beautiful eyes and your divine face makes me swoon,

You are Gauri ,you are Parvati ,you are  Lord Shivas consort,

You are Anapurna and the timeless Bala Sundari  exuding divine spurt .

O Ma Durga ,Shiva ,Brahma and Vishnu all chant your praise,

You are the Goddess Saraswati who  gives wisdom to the sages.

You saved Bhakt  Prahlad  by taking the form of  Narsimha 

You are Goddess  Laxmi    reposed  by the side of Shree Narayana .

O Ma Durga your incarnations are innumerable and divine,

You  appear always to save this world and punish the spineless swines.

You redeemed in the world in the form of Bhairavi  to end it's sorrow,

Reposed gracefully on the Lion  you showed many sages a good tomorrow.

O Ma Durga ,you slayed  the thousand forms of the dreaded demons ,

In the ferocious form of  Goddess Kali , Mahisura  was given his last summons 

All men and women worship  Jwala ji the symbol of your divine  glory ,

Singing your  praise with devotion keeps away their grief and worry .

O Ma Durga  without your favor nobody can communicate with God,

Even Shankaracharyas penance remained unanswered and was flawed.

Till he sang your glory chanting  O Jagadamba Bhavani  for hours,

You showed mercy ,and made  peace with him bestowing his lost powers .

O Ma Durga please end my fears  ,desires ,passion and lust which torture me 

Bestow on me your  divine blessings to keep me happy is my earnest plea,

May I always receive your grace as long as I live ,recounting your glory to all,

May I always enjoy your divine shelter,O Ma  grant me favor at my every call .

WHO TAKES THE BLAME -UTTARAKHAND TRAGEDY?

Uttarakhand an abode of the spiritually motivated soul,

 Crystal clear waters ,pristine forests a divine heavenly pole,

A mesmerizing place of meditation for Goddesses  and Gods

Why  was it allowed to be invaded by fun loving human squads?

In feb 2013  a court ordered the removal of illegal structures around

There was no relieve to the river banks of these encroaches on the ground

Three and a half months later the rivers swelled  furiously to finish this job

A natural disaster , but a man made catastrophe of killing  the mob .

I warned you  three days ahead said the meteorology  man ,

Why still  then our elected  government did not understand ?

Why were the  fun loving tourists and holy pilgrims  not called back ?

What use are these  weather warnings if  our  trust lacks?

Unwise  man,why did you  provoke the wrath of  Dhari devi and Lord Shiva

Within hours of relocating  Devis temple you  enraged  Gods  burning diva,

Nature had given a warning earlier in April not to disturb her abode ,

Alas a man made project to generate electricity ignored this heavenly code.

No point repenting now after thousands of life's have been  left dry,

Realizing now that these warnings were not mere red flags of a wolf cry.

Bridges collapsed after a days warning,do we call this governments autonomy 

Did they think preventive measures were costly for the country's economy ? 

Who is answerable for this neglect to natures abode and human life?

We ,it is we the humans who boast of umpteen knowledge to take all in strife,

The armed forces   brave rescue efforts have made  us all proud ,

The national disaster teams  also contributed their strength unbowed .

Wake up the  unwise , powerful and the corrupt in this holy land ,

Your  shameless rendezvous in pilgrim places innocent people cannot stand ,

God's warnings we must all heed ,and pray to Him to give us good sense ,

Loosing mother natures beauty and precious lives we must pay  the penance .

Oh Lord Shiva  , I offer my  heart felt prayers  to you ,

The creator of this world  I bow my head in penance to you,

Forgive us for our greedy  deeds which destroy our soul ,

May those who lost their lives rest in peace in your divine abode .
