Life is not about ...

Life is not about freebie rides 

you are not passengers any more 

you are the crew who need to steer 

yourself towards the humanity shore 

Life is not about receiving  favors 

you are not here to live a wasted life 

you are here to contribute towards 

world peace and live free from strive

Life is not about an enjoyable sport 

to be watched  from  a distance 

It's about discovering your potentials 

by your hard work n' persistence 

Life is not always about roses n' smiles 

to cry in pain  and to cry in happiness 

are signs of good health and not weakness 

crying cleans  your soul to feel whole once again 

Life is not about leaving the past behind 

it's about carrying the past lessons 

to help brighten your present to shine 

in life experiences lie hidden blessings 

Life is not about being ashamed of your past 

It's through your past journey that you paved your way 

accept its contribution n' celebrate its connection 

for making you the awesome person you are today 

Life is not about dwelling on dreams 

and forgetting to live in the present 

dreams do motivate to keep up your pace 

but be awake to the now in all its content 

Life is not always about walking on the earth

occasionally have your head briefly in the clouds 

wonder awe magic and miracles still have a place 

let your imaginations create what makes you proud 

Life is not about getting all the answers at once 

Often complicated questions have simple answers 

be calm have patience and work  step by step 

for living with stress and worry is akin to cancer 

Life is not about wether ....we can  do it 

it's about wether we should or should not do it 

we gather knowledge but to apply it with wisdom 

we need to understand which ripples create drift 

Life is not about forgetting others 

hurting them n' putting yourself first 

life is walking together n'looking after each other 

for actually we are all just walking each other home !

SILENT JOURNEY...

                    Silent journey....

An assuring silence prevails 

as I step out at twilight 

I see nature silently at work 

to bring in the morning sunlight 

Silent is the blessed earth 

silent is the blue grey sky 

in  this piercing silence 

their love makes me sigh 

Dewdrops from heaven silently 

come down to kiss the buds 

and shine like dazzling diamonds 

on stray leaves lying on wet mud 

The wind rushes silently by 

as I see the glorious sun rising 

from the earth onto the morning sky 

like a  silent ball of soothing fire 

My mind absorbs the silence 

as it assimilates the magic around 

it empties all chaos and clutter 

and basks in the silent sounds 

Soon I hear the hens cackle and crow 

and see the birds fly to and fro 

tweeting it's time to wake up  now 

Silent morning blessings are about to pour 

The sun rays silently kiss my cheeks  

and the cold breeze hugs me more 

I feel  loved with joy and ecstasy within 

as I  realize I have miles and miles to go ! 

SEEING BEYOND....

Seeing beyond ...

If you could cast your sight 

.....................on the far side 

of the thin running stream dancing along 

..........you'd be able to see beyond 

If you could part the curtains of your mind 

you'd be able to see through the window 

.........a light of wisdom that shines beyond 

If you could pay attention to the unseen 

............then you'd hear the silent sound 

.whispering of what is beyond 

If you could understand the purpose of life 

......... ........ .you'd love unconditionally 

and would know happiness lies beyond 

If you could feel the pain of your fellow men 

.................you'd be kind to them till the end 

and would know bliss is beyond self 

If you could lovingly touch hearts from far 

.........with your affectionate words and deeds 

You would know joy is not beyond reach 

If you could lift the eyelid of ignorance 

...............from your kohl smudged eyes 

you would be able to see the truth beyond 

If you could sing only gratitude while you pray 

...............without asking for fulfilling wants 

You would be truly blessed beyond !

EMPTY ME 

The mind on its wondrous way 

started filling the hearts empty tray 

with pleasures and desires of its own 

the heart pleaded and begged 

it even screamed and cried red 

but the mind refused instead 

Empty of all man made 

is how I came here heart said 

don't mess just keep me that way

for that's how I want to stay 

painted only with truth and love 

your actions make me sick 

please stop this dirty trick 

This noise drowns my silence 

it's in silence that I pray 

it's in being light that I shine 

that I hear and see the divine sign 

then with the help of winds of time 

I can take the long steep climb 

Empty me fully oh dear mind !

of all the heavy clutter and grind 

scrub away the layers of desires 

brush away the cobwebs of greed 

so that I can dissolve melt and merge 

with the divine and fulfill my urge !

Life is about sunsets and sunrises

that each one of us has had 

some full of laughter n' surprises 

and some that made us oh! So sad 

Life is about memories of the past 

and  smiles and tears of today 

with thoughts of the coming future 

hoping  to wash our fears away 

Life is about accepting both its sides 

embracing the good and the bad 

knowing the truth that nothing lasts 

neither being  glad nor being  sad 

Life is about loving someone  special 

who means the whole world to you 

and when snatched away by fate 

you cry and don't know what to do 

Life is about gathering courage and hope 

when hit by an unexpected  stroke 

finding a new way to smile and say  

Oh ! Life you can never make me broke 

Life is about the child living in us 

even as we add years n' grow old 

it loves to be happy without a fuss 

in small silly simple ways of its own 

Life is about the love and hugs we need 

to feel secure and add life to our lives 

It's about forgoing  selfishness and greed  

and help lift others  to smile and thrive

A LOVE STORY

A love story....

Pitter patter pitter patter 

the rain comes pouring in 

singing melodies aloud 

suddenly the sun smiles 

at the weeping clouds

I peep through the raindrops 

searching for sunbeams 

as they refract n' reflect colors 

with an unbelievable gleam 

Birds shake their wings 

and enjoy a sunny dive 

love and gratitude they sing 

as plants come vibrantly alive 

Delighted am I to see the sun n' rain 

together on these thirsty plains 

their love pangs for each other 

surpasses the wet weather 

A beautiful rainbow emerges 

through the scattered clouds 

Oh ! what a bright colorful splurge 

as silent bells come ringing loud 

They ring in love and peace 

with a charming magical ease 

as the earth laughs in bliss 

seeing the sun and the rain kiss !

PAIN AND FORGIVENESS

PAIN AND  FORGIVENESS 

Feeling  lost with a crying heavy heart
Looking inside wondering where to start 
to calm my inside and forgive and forget 
or to carry the  fiery burden in my chest 

Strolling alone in the dark cold night 
my mind in darkness was searching for a light 
reflecting on why humans ever think of hate 
judging each with their pride and ego weight 

Trudging along with my legs feeling heavy
Hands felt cold with butterflies in my belly 
with each heavy step that I tried to take 
I pleaded with my heart to be strong n' not break 

A sigh and a cry was all that I could manage 
silently pondering on how to undo the damage 
Sorrow filled my heart like a mighty wave 
Bathed with love and humility I willingly forgave 

Why don't we stop judging each other again n' again  
Let's love and forget that hate can ever have a place 
in our hearts for we are  all one , a loving human race 
if we judge each other and forget to tolerate 
we will never have time to love if we hate !

Forgiveness is a fragrant flower which  blooms 
from the depths of a beautiful loving heart 
to take away tears of pain sorrow and gloom 
and fill our hearts with love to never be apart !

THE SEA KEEPS CALLING ME

Hi friends I was at the sea beach yesterday and thought to share my thoughts with you all as to 

why the sea keeps calling me again and again ...

The  sea keeps calling me ....

As I walk on the sea shore 
and look far far away 

I see the wide horizon 

playing with the waves 

and when I  look up 

at the evening sky 

I see changing colors  

merging merrily up high 

I step into the sea 

Feeling so happy 

my mind feels still 

as I set myself free 

with my wet feet 

and the sand 

slipping underneath 

the cool waters stir 

a calm vibration in me 

I wonder why 

I love the sea so much 

It frees me of mind aches 

with its healing touch 

spending hours gazing 

at the calm sea waves 

takes me beyond 

life's  messy maze  

where dwells 

equipoise and grace 

as the cool sea breeze 

kisses my face !

SMILING THROUGH PAIN ..

                                    Smiling through pain 

Pain just pierced her  heart 

tearing her  whole being apart 

She couldn't  breathe the air 

Her  heart broke  in despair 

She longed to be pain free 

Tears blurred her not to see 

Praying hard for strength within 

For the pain never never to win   

But the pain kept lingering on 

Swallowing  her whole being 

Covering her  mind in a trance 

Buried alive  in a death dance 

A  silent seething then came on 

Her sobs silenced the mind storm 

She curled up in her soft soul 

Trying hard to feel whole 

Tranquility embraced her being 

Tears washed away the sad stream 

Pain changed her to accept life 

She gained strength to survive 

She now looked happy and calm 

But her smile had lost its charm 

She prays to  become her old self

mending her heart with Gods love 

Everything changes  in this world 

Happy and sad flags furl and unfurl 

But when sadness engulfs life 

It leaves lessons to learn to survive 

May she be blessed with Gods grace 

Pray she smiles through a tearful  face 

Let no pain or hurt  break her asunder

she gathers strength while others wonder !!!

No body is immune to pain and hurt. The worst pain is when you are smiling to stop the tears from falling .Some lessons are learnt best through pain .When our eyes are washed with tears our vision becomes clear .

Pain can either destroy or change a person You just have to bear it till it goes away or heals and learn to keep fighting it because life always makes more and more pain .When Pain comes God gives strength to  smile through it ,endure it  and heal it .
