I am your liver ....

I live under your diaphragm behind your 5th and 10th ribs 

No, you can’t really feel me, but your doc can.so please don't crib .

I am often not given the same importance as the heart or the brain.

Though in romance and bravery  I get compared to the twain !!!

I am often referred to emotions of jealousy and rage ,I don't like this ,

I am important for your health so why not appreciate me for my wits .

I am covered by a soft capsule and slide down  smoothly 

Making space  for the right lung to deep breath  frequently 

I am  strong despite being fragile ,dark red and weigh  1. 5 kg ,

My looks are not pretty ,but you cannot do without me .

When I am cut I regenerate my own tissue ,am I not smart ?

That's the reason I can donate a part of me for a transplant .

I work very hard to accomplish the complex tasks in a disciplined way 

The excess glucose you eat I convert and save it  for the rainy day,

I release it the day your boss gives you  no time to eat a meal ,

So that you don't feel sloppy ,sense  dizziness ,sink and reel ,

I convert some of  your proteins to sugars when required ,

I even manufacture proteins to stop the bleeds from cuts as desired .

I manufacture cholesterol crucial for hormones and cell repair every day ,

Also convert the toxic ammonia to urea for the kidneys to wash it away 

I detoxify poisons and medicines and render them harmless to be excreted .

Other wise can you imagine what would happen if I left them untreated .

I make cells to fight the  infections boosting your immunity levels ,

No I am not boasting  you can't imagine how hard it is to fight these devils .

I humbly plead to grant this simple wish list to keep me fit 

Eat a healthy diet no junk food please it overburdens me ,do you get it ?

Alcohol shatters me I get damaged irreparably cutting your life short .

Cigarette puff toxins choke me no end and my tissues get hurt 

Don't forget to take your  full hepatitis vaccine shots ,

It saves me form self destruction and many a tight spots .

Remember to exercise  daily for the blood in me to flow fast 

Maintain  hand and food hygiene to prevent  infections I dread ,

Some of them just ebb my life out and some even leave me dead .

On my becoming sick You loose appetite or suffer silently for a while 

Jaundice ,nausea ,vomiting occurs with the sluggish flow of bile ,

Sometimes my illness makes you swell and bleed from various sites ,

So please don't neglect my health ,I hope you got all facts right !!!

For you to  enjoy a  happy ,smiling and healthy  long life full of bliss 

Give me your love ,tender care  and a  lovely smiling hug and kiss !

The liver is the largest organs in the body and is the link between the digestive and the circulatory systems. Ironically the liver is not respected as much as  the brain, heart, and lungs even though  without the liver, the physical body cannot live .Since none of its functions can be observed, like the heartbeat, pulse, or respiratory rate, the liver is only remembered when it malfunctions. 

The liver secretes bile that aids in the digestion of our food ,detoxifies the blood ,stores glucose needed for energy and stores vitamins and minerals.The liver makes various substances that aid in the clotting of blood.It regulates the body’s metabolism.These are just a few of the many more  functions of the liver.

The liver is the only organ which can  regenerate itself and "Wow "grow back to its original size in less then 8 years  that is why liver in spirituality corresponds to the state of an embryo which has the potential to grow with desire An ancient Greek myth revealed this fact before the existence of modern science. In the story of Prometheus, Zeus punished the demi-god for giving human’s the knowledge of fire. Zeus chained Prometheus to a rock and made him endure the eternal torture of an eagle eating his liver out every day. His liver would promptly grow back every night. 

The liver like the stomach is governed by the solar plexus Chakra . It has been suggested that if you have feelings of Irritation, impatience, being overtly critical, rage, hate, angry outburst, over reactivity, feelings of not feeling heard, not feeling loved, not being recognized, judgment, racism, the need to control, inability to express your feelings in a grounded/balanced way, lack of joy, denial and inability to be honest with yourself and others, inability to be authentic or any addiction of any kind....a Liver cleanse would be helpful. ..........

Garlic turmeric ,lemon ,lime and avocados ( a pear like  Mexican fruit )  are described as  natural liver cleansing foods

A CHILD'S DILEMMA 

Being very small ,I am at a great loss ,

Understanding my  mama and papa 

Is like trying to please a demanding boss,

This dear friends is my amazing saga.

I am a small little girl only six years old,

When I want to do things I like on my own,

They say you are too small ,I often get a scold,

Advising me not  to venture in such things alone .

When they want me to do things I shun,

They state now you are grown up enough ,

This  type of behavior  is just not done,

They  reprimand me  and start acting tough.

When I am home and spend time watching cartoons,

They  grumble that I should spend more time outdoors,

When I am  playing outdoors in the afternoons,

They scold for neglecting studies and bringing bad scores.

My hand  writing needs to improve they said ,

I practiced  writing daily  till they said okay,

And now its my bad spellings  they dread,

Maths needs more  practice ,is what they said today.

I just overheard their heated  discussion,

On  blaming each other as to who spoils me,

Realizing this could have serious repercussions ,

I  hugged and kissed them before they could disagree .

I know what they want from me  is for my good ,

Their concern for me ,is what needs to be understood .

God please guide me to be well behaved and worthy,

And  never give any body a chance to say I am not earthy.

Child is father of man  is what I  read ,

Don't read wrong  my Papa  annoyingly said

But Papa ,that's what  William Wordsworth  writes ,

Bless these poets ,said Papa they can go to any heights .

But Papa, what he writes is indeed very true ,

Please  give me a few minutes I plead with you ,

I can tell you the things you can learn from me ,

Please Papa ,this one time please don't be angry !

Papa I  smile and laugh a hundred times more then you do ,

Why ? Papa why ?don't you smile  as much as I do ? 

I don't need a reason  always to show my happiness ,

And you Papa ,you  frown even on small matters and look stressed .

Papa  ,look at me  i always enjoy and live in the present ,

Not like your tricky  adult mind which lives in torment 

Of the past gone by days and the  unknown future ,

With this attitude Papa you are a happiness looser .

Papa ,you will agree that I  have no fears ,

Fear of what  i will achieve in my future  years ,

Fear of  being judged ,fear of  the unknown,

These fears are nothing but illusions  of your own .

Papa, I always speak the truth no matter where ,no matter what .

This virtue is a part of my innocence from the very start ,

But you  Papa,  you twist the  true facts to any height ,

Judging each situation you  say what suits you to be right .

Papa, clean your lenses to have  a clear vision,

My innocence  visualizes  beauty  in each mission ,

I  admire all   around with a sparkle in my eyes ,

For me all  folks here are special and unique  guys .

Papa, I love my doggy ,the postman  and no matter who ,

My love Papa ,is unconditional ,genuine and  true ,

My upsets are momentary ,the very next moment I feel happy ,

You anger is long lived and  Papa ,that is really  very  crappy !

Papa  ,when your friends meet  children their  heart genuinely glows ,

On meeting other adults  why doesn't the same love overflow ?

Papa ,I see love  light and bliss in the simple things around me ,

See the world with my eyes Papa,your heart will smile with glee .

Papa please I beg of you to  become a child at heart ,

Start practicing sincerely  all that I said from the start ,

For once Papa,   let me  be your teacher today .

MONEY , MONEY AND MONEY

MONEY , MONEY AND MONEY .

Gone are days of ape man and all ,

Living in the jungles on tress and in huts ,

Plundering the trees like monkeys on the wall ,

Living  in Gods land and enjoying the nuts 

Then came the barter system  of survival 

Exchanging  commodities as per  needs ,

A mutual  give and take  among the tribals,

It worked in that era for basic needs indeed 

Money is  now a  dire necessity of life ,

 Food ,shelter ,clothing  need money to be paid ,

Without these  basic needs we cannot remain alive ,

For  buying  these amenities money must be made .

If you don't have money , what  will you eat ,

without eating food  you cannot survive ,

If you have no shelter you can die in the  cold or heat,

In this wicked world how can you thrive .

Living with dignity in these selfish times 

Marrying and raising a family here ,

Transport  and education  all need dimes ,

Without  sufficient money you dread and fear .

Health is wealth  we all do agree 

To be healthy  you need to be disease free,

Prevention and cure cost money for sure ,

Can you afford to be healthy then if you are poor ?

Yes  you  do need money to lead  your life ,

But  don't only focus on  money  and  its pleasures ,

There are many  other things  in life  for us to strive ,

Money can't buy love and happiness ,life's  invaluable treasures 

Money can prove to be a boon  or a bane ,

It can be the root cause of  crimes and fights

It tempts man to become  blind ,crazy and insane ,

Money  gives a thumbs up  to mans ego and might .

Never  sell your  integrity  in exchange for money ,

More then your  riches  value life virtues and humanity 

 Share your money  to  make other needy  life's  sunny ,

Being no more ,you will be remembered by your charity .

When  you  just run after  money and money ,

You  sell your soul and your heart turns cold ,

The more you get,you want more and more , no that isn't  at all funny ,

Your mind gets obsessed with jewels and gold .

When you have money to blow up and  throw ,

You get hooked to drugs ,women and wine,

These    bad vices  can poison your blood flow ,

By the time you realize ,you would  have crossed the safe line .

Yes , friends money is required by one and all ,

But in the race for earning money don't sell your soul ,

Use your money wisely   ,don't let your virtues fall ,

Thank God  always and don't falter from your goal .

We came  into this world empty handed ,

Empty  handed  we will go ,

Why  then do  we waste time chasing  money 

It is useless to be greedy  for money ,money and money

THE  GREAT  KING  ALEXANDER'S  THREE  DEATH  WISHES 

When he was on his death bed  ,he called all his generals and said – I will depart from the world soon. But I have three wishes. Please fulfill my wishes without fail. With tears flowing down their cheeks, the generals agreed to abide by their King’s last wishes

My First Desire is that  my  physicians  alone must carry my coffin ,because people should realize that no  doctor  can really cure anybody. They are powerless and cannot save a person from the clutches of  death .. So let not people take life for granted.

 

Secondly when my coffin is being carried to the grave the path leading to the graveyard should be strewn with gold, silver and precious stones which I have collected in my treasury.  This is to tell people that that not even a fraction of gold can be taken by me. Let people realize that it is a sheer waste of time to chase wealth.

 

My  third and  last wish is that both my hands should be kept dangling out of my coffin. I want people to know that I came empty handed into this world and empty handed I go out of this world.

The Great King Alexander’s last words  were - Bury my body  do not build any monument for me ,keep my hands outside so that the world knows the person who conquered the world had nothing in his hands when dying……

THE POWER OF WORDS 

Be careful with the words you  speak ,

They can kill  silently without a shriek.

Words can be sharp like a knife ,

Without drawing blood they can end a life .

Unkind words that slip from your tongue ,

Once out  of your mouth they  get far flung ,

They can never  ever be  retrieved ,

The receiver feels  oh  so terribly  aggrieved .

Words can make or break your ties ,

When sweet  they shine in others eyes,

But when bitter you loose good friends ,

Even  apologizing may not  make mends .

 A single word  even spoken in jest ,

By the time you realize and regret ,

The  irreparable damage  has been done ,

The hurt it has caused may sometimes be a ton .

Think before you  say anything ,

Converse only  when you really mean ,

Don't talk just for the sake of talking ,

The end result can  sometimes be shocking .

Words of encouragement and inspiration ,

Are great  to spread positive vibrations ,

You can help make a life using  proper speech ,

Blessed are this who posses this quality  to preach .

Being polite is a matter of etiquette ,

Respect others and try to be at your best ,

Be gentle and not forceful or insistent ,

Don't loose your cool and be  persistent .

It's rude to converse if discomfort  is evident ,

Let go the topic ,probably it was never meant ,

When in doubt it is better to be in silence ,

Observing others   then is  a great compliance .

If someone  persistently annoys or insults you ,

Control your anger,don't allow it to break through 

Courteously  say  " you don't agree " ,

Or may be  say " let's agree to disagree "

Changing the topic or excusing yourself ,

Are great ways of  controlling oneself ,

This way you avoid unpleasant conversation ,

And continue to be in pleasant vibration .

Learn the ability to listen more  and talk less,

Speak without sarcasm what ever you express ,

The key to   smooth  and polite interaction ,

Is to be mindful of your words when in conversation .

God give  us the wisdom to  control our tongue ,

To  be courteous and polite to every one ,

Silence  is golden and speaks for itself ,

Let us feel its dimension to improve ourself .
