TRUE LOVE

She was waiting in the church for him,

They were to be united in a lawful wedlock,

Her patience  had by now crossed the brim,

Wondering why wasn't he here by the clock?

The lacy white wedding gown  so lovely,

She now flung away  ,detested and cursed ,

A moment ago she had been  happy and bubbly,

But now her tender heart was cruelly pierced .

No message ,no apologies ,no good bye ,

She gathered enough courage to be herself ,

Decided to leave the town with a  sad sigh,

Needing distance and time to heal one self .

She bumped into a friend in the shopping  mall,

Was shocked and agonized on hearing her babble,

How her lost love had been caught up in a brawl,

On the day he was to be with her in the Chappell .

His injuries had been very serious and  grave,

He had suffered and  lost his leg in its aftermath,

Saving a little child ,was considered really brave,

Why on that day ,was  she ruled by her ego and wrath?

She has  now became his courage and strength ,

Promising to be his soulmate and never leave him till alive,

Their true  love has  surpassed all breadth and length ,

 Life together has now become a beautiful long drive .
