MY ETERNAL MIND GARDEN

The long leisurely holidays have taken their toll,
My lovely garden is full of  unwanted weeds,
They are creeping all over some big and some small,
Invading the  beautiful colorful  flower beds.

These lecherous weeds are spreading fast,
How I wish I had not allowed this to happen,
Pretty flowers  now seem to be a thing of the past,
This indeed is a  big mess , ugly and  misshapen .

Deweeding  will require hard work and determination,
Their roots have gone deep and are enmeshed,
It's going to be a time consuming continuos taxation,
To remove them from their deep roots  will be the best!

These are weeds of frustration dislike, anger and hate ,
Which grew in my mind garden when i was lazy and restful,
They have spread aversion ,negativity and an unhappy state ,
Their roots ego and attachment need a strong outward pull .

Only then will  my eternal garden of mind,
Blossom  with peace , happiness and love ,
The colors in my  garden  will be pleasing and kind ,
Pure bliss and contentment will  rule high above.

I must now pledge never to pollute my mind garden,
With painful negative thoughts  and actions whatsoever,
Never to allow my light of consciousness to darken,
Promise to  burn these dirty  weeds and their seeds forever .

Foot notes-
Be watchful where the weeds are growing in your mind garden
Weeds grow in our garden only when we are not ready to work with our thoughts . Like a good gardener if we are awake, mindful and meditative and constantly deweed  the negative thoughts and sow  and nurture positive thoughts , life will  become free of pain and suffering and will be filled with peace and happiness

"So plastic is mind, so receptive, that the slightest thought makes an impression upon it. People who think many kinds of thought must expect to receive a confused manifestation in their lives. If a gardener plants a thousand kinds of seeds, he will get a thousand kinds of plants: it is the same in mind." -- Dr. Ernest Holmes.
