FLIGHT TO HEAVEN

Oh ! what a cold breezy morning it was,

The wind was blowing with all its might ,

There seemed enough reason for me to pause,

Suddenly the strong wind lifted me up in flight ,

it steered me up and up into the clear blue sky ,

Lo and behold ,defying  gravity  I began to fly .

A girl flying like a bird was  just unheard ,

First I made friends with the chirpy birds,

They taught me how to keep my arms furled,

Lovingly ,they hovered   around me in herds ,

They flew in disciplined formations to the west ,

While I kept soaring up and up to view the rest .

Scaling more heights I reached fairyland ,

The beauty around was a sight to see,

The fairies welcomed me playing a music band ,

The fairy queen bowed to me in great glee,

She then waved her golden star wand towards me ,

We sang and danced together  ,feeling very free .

A lovely decorated carriage came my way ,

I jumped on it and it took me to heaven ,

Heaven was lighted ,shining and gay,

 I spotted happiness and satisfaction within ,

 Closely  followed by love , faith and trust,

 No signs  suggestive  of anger or lust.

 Ego ,violence ,hate and jealousy were  dead ,

 Peace ,and love were rejoicing  on their demise ,

Joy  had been elected as heavens ruling head ,

Forgiveness and apology  were honored with a prize.

Equality and respect never left their side ,

They all looked so pure ,with nothing to hide.

Looking down ,I could hardly see the ground ,

I prayed "God make heaven my new abode,"

Life here is  full of divine bliss around ,

Oh ! how difficult it will be to switch to earth mode ,

My heart desires love ,joy and peace ,

Heaven is  where I will get all this with great ease .
