Driving along on a friday morning for leisure ,
Gives us all a real great pleasure .

The whole family packed in our SUV ,
All of us are smiling with great glee.
The roads along are cascaded with tall green shrubs
A little ahead we see the shipping hubs
Now we just crossed the beautifully lighted under bridge ,
Far away we sight a sand mountain ridge
Entering the city with sky scrapers on both sides ,
The rest of the scenes they seem to hide .
The. Overhead metro train is passing by fast ,
The speed with which it runs leaves us all aghast .
We just sighted a huge plane whizzing by ,
It flew so low ,we all uttered a feared sigh ,
The marigold spreads lining the road are a great delight,
Oh my god what a beautiful sight .
The stuffed puppy lion baby hanging in the car ,
Tells us may be our destination is not very far.
We are now heading for Diera city centre hotel ,
To meet our friends from India and wish them well.
The kids have made their own holiday shopping list ,
This just cannot be dismissed .
The hunt thus begins in the sprawling Mirdiff mall,
We thank our stars when we get them all .
I really don't know why I am feeling extra nice ,
I bestow gifts on myself ignoring the high price .
The planned window shopping ends up with a buying spree,
I just can't believe that I bought all this for me .
Tired and hungry our feet march to the huge food court,
We pick and choose delicacies with each others support ,
Favorites are McDonald's ,Subway sandwiches and Bombay chaat ,
The yummy dishes tickle our plates till we depart .
Exhausted and sleepy we head for home,
Our feet ache oh! it was a tiring roam.
It was a great way to be together today,
Thank you God ,for all we have we pray .
